Orders & delivery
How long does delivery take?
Every order is sent with tracking (£3.95, free over £40.00). Items in our UK warehouse arrive in 2–5 working days; items from our international warehouse in 12–20 working days. Each product page shows where it ships from and an estimated delivery date. We deliver to UK addresses only.
Will I pay import VAT or customs charges?
Not on orders up to £135.00 of goods (excluding VAT): UK VAT is already included in our prices. For larger orders we do not charge UK VAT; instead the delivery company collects import VAT (20% of goods and postage), any duty and a handling fee of about £8.00–£12.00 before delivery. Your basket and checkout show an estimate before you pay.
How do I track my order?
As soon as your order is dispatched we e-mail you a tracking number and link. You can also use the Track your order page with your order number and e-mail address or postcode.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible with your order number. If it hasn’t been dispatched yet we’ll change or cancel it for you; otherwise you can return it under our returns policy.
Returns & refunds
Can I return something?
Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order for any reason. E-mail us first so we can give you the returns address. We refund within 14 days of receiving the item back.
What if an item is faulty?
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you can reject a faulty item for a full refund within 30 days of delivery; after that you’re entitled to a repair or replacement. Contact us with your order number and a photo.
Products & preparedness
Which radio should I choose?
For most homes the Pocket Crank & Solar Radio covers the Be Ready advice. Choose the Outdoor Pro for its 4,500 mAh battery, LCD display and brighter torch.
Do your kits include food, water or medication?
No. The Be Ready checklist includes water, food, medication and baby supplies, but these are best bought locally and rotated with your normal shopping. Our kits cover the radio, torch, power bank and (in the Home Ready Bundle) document items; add your own first aid kit, hygiene items and blankets.
Is SOS Ready connected to the UK Government?
No. SOS Ready is an independent retailer. We build our kits around the public Be Ready checklist and link to the official GOV.UK campaign page.
Payment & security
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and PayPal, processed securely by Mollie. We never see or store your card details.
Do I need an account?
No. You check out as a guest and receive order updates by e-mail.
